Appointment of the Personal Information Protection Officer

Today, ………………., ST Machinery Technology (Foshan) Co., Ltd 艾仕缇机械科技（佛山）有限公司 (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal information Handler") hereby designates Mr./Ms. [NAME] …………… as its Personal Information Protection Officer pursuant to PIPL.
The appointment shall take effect on the date of signature of this appointment letter and shall last for (….) years. The Personal Information Protection Officer shall perform the following tasks:

  • conducting supervision of personal information processing activities as well as adopted protection measures,
  • informing and advising the Personal information Handler, and its employees who carry out data processing operations, about their obligations under the PIPL and any applicable data protection law;
  • monitoring compliance with the PIPL and any other applicable data protection provisions; 
  • monitoring the Personal information Handler’s strategies for the protection of personal information;
  • cooperating with the supervisory authorities;
  • acting as a contact point for the supervisory authorities on issues related to data processing;
  • acting as a contact point for the exercise of data subjects’ rights under Personal Information Protection Law, and processing their inquiries related to data processing activities.
