亚洲的吹塑变革

The STONE group, leader in the design and production of blow moulding machinery, has recently launched a new and innovative plant in southern China (Shunde), with the ambition of strengthening its presence in the Asian market and supporting technological development in the plastics blow moulding industry.

The new site is not just a simple production plant, but a real industrial hub, strategically positioned to serve the entire Asian region.

Chinaplas and Openhouse

The opening was organised to match the Shenzhen International Fair, one of the most important events for the packaging and plastics industry in Asia, which is held a short distance from STONE's production site. This coincidence gave many trade fair visitors from all over the world the opportunity to reach and visit STONE's site.

1. STONE's Inauguration and Visit: the official inauguration took place on 18 April 2025, in attendance of many company representatives, local authorities and key customers and prospects in the consumer and industrial packaging industry. The new plant, located in a strategic area of southern China, is the result of a significant investment by STONE to boost production capacity and accelerate technological development in the consumer packaging and industrial packaging sector. With an area of 2,800 square metres, the site represents the beating heart of the company's expansion in Asia, an area that is experiencing a growing demand for advanced solutions for the production of plastic liquid containers and packaging.

2. A Strategic Industrial Hub: the new facility is designed to be not only a production base, but also a research and development centre, where technological innovation plays a central role. Its geographical location, close to the main logistics and port centres in South China, will enable STONE to optimise operations and reduce delivery times, offering efficient solutions to customers throughout Asia. The hub will be a hub for technical support, training and customised consultancy, with the aim of helping Asian companies improve the quality and efficiency of their blow moulding production processes. During the event, four state-of-the-art blow moulding machines were on display, each designed to meet the specific needs of the industrial and consumer packaging sectors. The machines presented attracted great interest for their advanced performance, energy efficiency and ability to adapt to different types of production, offering highly versatile solutions.

3. Dry Cycle Blow Machine Demonstration: at the end of the presentation, visitors had the opportunity to analyse in dry cycle the blowing machines on display, which included hydraulic, hybrid and electric models. This process allowed participants to appreciate machine performance in detail, with a focus on technology and innovation.

A particularly significant moment was the ceremony of the auspicious Dragon Gifts, which officially concluded the event. This symbolic gesture, typical of Chinese tradition, represented a wish for future prosperity and success for STONE and all its customers, confirming the company's commitment to support growth and innovation in the blow moulding industry. The ceremony added an important cultural touch to the event, creating an atmosphere of strong motivation for future business.

4. Impact on the Blow Moulding Industry in Asia (Efficiency and Sustainability): the blow moulding industry is growing rapidly in Asia, with countries such as China, India and Southeast Asia accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies. STONE's new facility will have a positive impact on this growth, offering state-of-the-art machinery that will enable companies to achieve greater precision and productivity. The focus on the consumer packaging and industrial packaging segments has allowed STONE to demonstrate how its technologies are able to meet the needs of an evolving industry. In addition, STONE is committed to contributing to the environmental sustainability of the industry by developing solutions that minimise the ecological impact of production processes and by promoting the extensive use of recyclable materials.

5. The investments and the group's strength: the strategic importance of the new technological hub is confirmed by the important presence and participation, in the project, of ST Blow Moulding Group, majority shareholder of the newly born STONE. A clear choice that goes in the direction of development in this area, under STONE's solid expertise.
